Hi, I've been raw two weeks and took my first trip to the local Co-op. I was really disapointed, I couldn't hardly find any of the raw foods I was looking for. I bought a few staples (raw nuts, veggies, coconut oil) but I thought they would have a better selection. Does Whole Foods carry a lot of raw foods? Or do you guys use the internet to buy your raw speciality foods?
Thanks

I have to "store hop" to find what I want and also INTERNET hop as well  .
It IS hard for me to find it all in one store (do I see a business opportunity here.. )
I go to Walmart (they have organic), my local mom and pop stores, and in the spring the local farmers markets, and summer (my garden).
I am going to start growing my own sprouts because it is so limited here.
Get creative!

-I have not been to ANY area (in the States or abroad) where I could not find farmers, and markets large and small that sell fresh, raw plant foods. You'll find it! :) You can always grow your own greens! :)

Any chain grocery store has raw fruits, veggies, greens nuts and seeds. Maybe what you're looking for at the co-op was out of season?
What specifically are you looking for?

Whole Foods has many things--raw nuts, seeds, dates, miso, kim-chee, flax seed oil, spirulina, etc. They have a large "bulk" aisle generally. I have never, however, found raw carob there. alisa's site has some specialty items, as does rawguru.com, rawfromthefarm.com, sunfood.com.
