Raven- I'd love to try the powdered form of extracts, I found a great site that has every flavor imaginable, does the powdered form measure up to the liquid form taste wise?
Where do you get your powder extracts?

I'm so glad you replied!
I found two sources, the one I'm leaning towards is this:
http://www.naturesflavors.com/default.php?page=3&cPath=95&sort=1a&track=dropdownmenu

The second one is:
http://www.faeriesfinest.com/powders.html

I'm going to call Nature's Flavors tommorrow to get some more info and ask some questions...

Hi. I checked the first link (Nature's Flavors) and I'd be cautious is using their powdered extracts because they seem to be mostly sugar (dextrose) and they don't seem to be raw. I didn't check the second link yet. I'm not opposed to using small amounts of non-raw spices but dextrose may not be good to use. I believe it's used as an excipient in a lot of supplements. The vanilla powder is raw and contains no fillers.

I'll keep looking for a good source of extracts. Right now, I mainly use Frontier flavoring (the kind without alcohol). Cherie Soria also has some nice extracts available on her site, although I haven't checked recently.
