I started raw about three weeks ago and am not seeing any weight loss. I really love it though. I would say Im about 90-95% raw. I think the first couple of weeks was trial and error and learning all of the things I can and cant eat but now I think I have a pretty good handle on it. I am wondering when I may start to see some weight loss. I would love any feedback you can give.:)

This is a good question. I have the same problem. I need to lose about 15-20 lbs, and in the first 4 days raw I lost about 5 lbs. Now, it has been about 10 days since and I've actually *gained* 1.5 lbs.
I love this lifestyle and feel a lot better, but it would be nice to get rid of those last remaining lbs... I'm committed to staying the course, I just hope that by day 30 I've lost more weight.
I'm also going to start cutting back on the walnuts and cashews as I think they aren't helping.

Well, I am eating fruit smoothies in the morning with almond milk and some germinated almonds and lots of fruit of course. For lunch its a salad with either some raw granola and almond milk or a peice of ezikiel bread (which I know isnt raw and some almond butter (raw), more fruit throughout the day and sometimes a meal from Go Raw cafe, also I nibble on almond cheese.
When I am 100% raw, exercise, and limit my nut and agave intake, the weight falls off. My body is sensitive. If I am even 95% raw, I hit a plateau and don't lose weight. Bummer.
(But I am hooked on Alissa's recipes - many which contain nuts and agave. I am still 100% and exercise, though.)
You will figure out what works best for you. Just don't give up because you and your health are worth it!
Have you taken measurements? Maybe you are losing inches and not lbs.??
I've had results similar to Nini (except I don't eat agave):
"When I am 100% raw, exercise, and limit my nut and agave intake, the weight falls off. My body is sensitive. If I am even 95% raw, I hit a plateau and don't lose weight"
I plateau when I eat a lot of nuts...also I feel better and lose more when I eat stuff that's "plain" and un-prepared as compared to package/prepared raw stuff or stuff from a raw restaurant. Raw fruit seems to work best for me from a standpoint of weightloss and mental clarity.
Best of luck.

Thanks for the reply's, I wonder if almond cheese and milk are a factor?

Also, how much are you moving?
I think the milk & cheeze could definately be a factor...
...also drink a good amount of water!

P.S. & take your measurements, you could be losing, but gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat (if you are working out...)

I've been on and off raw for the last 12 months and everywhere between 75-90% but I had never gone 100% until 27 days ago. I did not lose any significant weight at any raw percentage less than 100%. 27 days ago, I decided to do what Alissa says and go 100%. I have lost 14 lbs.. I'll let the results speak for themselves.

Be patient with your body. It's going through changes and will release on it's own time. Continue on...knowing you are getting the best nutrition on the planet! Trust that everything will work just as it's supposed to - if you keep doing the work. :)

There are far less fatty ways to get good protein --lots of leafy greens. make soem green smoothies and cut back a bit on the nuts. They're pretty fatty. The advice about 100% raw is good as well. I was eating 100% and lost 2-3 lbs./wk until 30 lbs. was gone. Then I lost another 7, but that was a little slower process.
Keep up your good work! :D
