I am very new to raw and have recently tried to make two different nut/date candy recipes: Alissa's Fudge Balls and another variety with lots of nuts and coconut. The problem is they are REALLY oily. Am I processing too long? What's the deal????

Yep...it's normal for there to be some oil from the nuts...but if it's really excessively oily, it's usually due to over-processing. You can blot it a bit with paper towel. I've had date-nut tortes to turn out great and others to be super oily...but again, from processing too long.

I thought that may be the case. Thank you so much for the quick reply! :D

I've had this issue too. Processing the nuts alone until they're a powdery consistency and then processing with the dates or raisins helps a lot.

Thanks for the tip. I will try that as well.
