are the most likely causes of food poisioning for those who eat raw?

I would think it is the E coli from bagged veggies (like the spinach e coli last year), but then again, I could be wrong. I'm not sure what else in the raw diet could make you sick. Maybe rancid almonds?

ive heard sprouts..but i really dont worry about it too much... i figure our bodies have built up somewhat of a resistance when we're eating this stuff all the time...but maybe im just naive....

Well when the spinach was contaminated it was found to be conventional (not organic) spinach that was planted too close to a cow farm and the nasty cow waste got in contact with the plants. so......

Yeah- I'd heard that too. Sometimes I get concerned that what they sell as organic actually isn't, but I try and always buy organic anyway.

oooohhhh.... I didn't know it wasn't organic spinach that wasn't affected too, good to know, I will now spring for the organic spinach!
