I'm sorry if someone else has already come up with this to post before but I just made raw chocolate crackles! Incase someone doesn't know what I'm on about it's that chocolate mixture that has ricies (puffed rice) in it and then they're set in those paper muffin wrappers.

Anyways I was making fudge (agave, coconut oil and cocoa powder) when I saw the buckwheat I had just sprouted and dehydrated so I tossed some of that in and YUM! Chocolate crunchy goodness!

oh wow!!! A couple of weeks ago I was thinking how awful it is that I'll never be able to make those on a raw diet.

I live in Britain and we call them Rice-crispie cakes. Or cornflake cakes when they're made with cornflakes.

It is the best ever!! I think it tastes so much better then the cooked stuff!! That other stuff just tastes fake and leaves a nasty aftertaste. And just look at how much nutrition is in your candy there! :D

YAY for crunchy chocolate!!! I might give this a try, but I'm scared, my fudge never comes out right. It seperates HORRIBLY!! I hate wasting my precious cacao powder and coconut oil!

Alicia - what measurements are you using for your fudge ingredients? I'd LOVE to try this!

Dang, and here I was thinking I'd come up with that!

I'd noticed how rice crispie (rice bubbles we call them) like sprouted dehydrated buckwheat was and so I made some chocolate crackle like desserts a while back. They were awesome!

I guess I should have realised about a million other people would have noticed and done the same thing....:o

I am so going to make this at easter, I used to make them into nests when I was little with a chocolate mini-egg in the middle! Dunno what I could do for the mini-egg though. Maybe just make a solid raw choc egg. Ooh, a white chocolate one!

Raw Lifeline was selling a product like that. I'll have to try it. I actually have some soaked buckwheat.

The measurements for my fudge well it usually changes based on how much I have in the house. I have based it off a few other peoples recipes but basically I use the same amount of coconut oil to the same amount of sweetner (depending on the sweetner). I usually end up putting agave in and testing it as I go to get the right sweetness.

I have a recipe that says to use the same amount of cocoa powder to coconut oil then that plus a bit more of agave.

Sorry does this help you? I'm one of those annoying people that keeps mixing in the bowl till it tastes good when it comes to fudge!

I wonder why your fudge seperates??? Do you use raw coconut oil (probably a silly question) but all I can think of is maybe if the oil was altered some how it wouldn't want to combine.

YES, I use raw, unrefined coconut oil. Is there a certain order to put the ingredients???

I just dump it all in a bowl and keep mixing till it combines. It can take a while I've found for it to combine, it's not an instant thing but it slowly happens.

When I make it I melt the coconut oil in the dehydrator and blend it all up in my vitamix. Its never separated... Maybe you could try making it using no agave and sweet powdery ingredients as the sweetner, like lucuma or carob? I made some raw choc earlier and added so much lucuma I didn't need any agave.

Awesome!

I can't wait to get a dehydrator, I've got to try this.:)

if you wanted to do it without the dehydrator you could try nuts, RawVeganMom posted one that used pieces of nuts I do believe.
