I was checking out a yahoo site for raw fooders and they were discussing the eating of raw meat. All kinds, from beef to chicken. This I just can't get into and I thought dealing with raw chicken was suppose to be risky for disease.

Is the eating of raw meat common among those who eat raw?

Someone just told me the other day that they were eating raw meat and eggs. I have never heard of that before. I think it sounds even grosser than cooked meat. But maybe healthier than cooking because then you don't get all the carcinogens. I would say it must be pretty risky with e coli and salmonella and stuff like that!

I agree, Suzy. The thought of eating raw chicken just kind of makes me nauseous. But, then I don't even like to touch raw chicken. Ick.

I found this Yahoo group in hopes of expanding my knowledge of Raw Food, but there is just too much discussion on the eating of raw meat for me. I have not seen any discussion on it here. I would like to become 100% raw someday, but if that means the eating of raw meat...don't think I can do that.

Yes, there are some raw fooders who eat raw meat and raw dairy, but we do not discuss that aspect of raw here. This board is for raw vegans although some of us do use honey.
