Often, when I eat avocado, I feel very sick and tired for the rest of the day. My stomach feels very heavy and keep burping up avocado taste :( .
I looooove avocados, but I don't love how they make me feel.
It doesn't happen every time I eat avocado. Only about 50% of the time. It happens whether I eat the avocado alone or with other food (though I do think it's worse if I eat it with other foods. It happens whether the avocado is under-ripe, perfectly ripe or over-ripe. I have tried the Florida avocados, which are lower in fat, and while I like them, they don't help at all with the upset stomach.
This never happened before I went raw! And I did eat avocados before raw.
Advice, anyone? Is there something I can take with my avos that will make them easier to digest?

I'd go light on the avocados at least for now if I were you. I go through phases where I simply cannot stand to eat certain foods because they don't digest well. I also had a big problem with fatigue (on raw) until I lowered my daily intake of fat. Each person's body will have slightly different requirements.

Try taking some lipase with the avocado. It is an enzyme that digests fats. You shouldn't need it because the avo has it's own lipase, but your body may need a little boost while it's healing.

I agree about the enzymes- could it be the brand of Avocado you're eating?

Listen to your body and react to what it tells you...

Is lipase in tomatoes?? Avocados seem so good with tomatoes to me for some reason...

But I would say to just listen to your body. I'm not craving avocados at all right now, which really surprises me, but I think it's okay. I'm actually healing an ulcer right now, and I read that, while avocados are soothing and alkaline, lots of fat during the healing stage doesn't work well and impedes the body's ability to heal. Maybe my body has just been telling me what it needs to heal, make sense!

Your body (and mine too for that matter) know a LOT more than our brains do about food, so I would say to just run with whatever it's telling you!
