Hi,
I found myself with a case of food poisoning yesterday - I posted about it in my blog.

Anyhow I haven't eaten anything since Friday night & I'm pretty dehydrated today from lack of fluids yesterday - only about 30 ounces taken in.

I'm still feeling weak, but my stomach is actually starting to growl right now. I have to work in 45min & can't risk being sick again.

I'm just wondering what would be good to eat?

I'm sipping on Vitamin water to replace the electrolytes.

Get you some acidolphilus in whatever form you can; add it to unfiltered apple juice. Drink up!

(should do this as soon as you know you've got a problem, yet, will work wonders even now)

Also, always keep GSE (grapefruit seed extract) on hand.

bananas aleays help me when i don't feel good. i remember reading a recent post that someone just put a few bananas in the blender with some water and sweetener, maybe ice too, and that it helps with their stomach.

Thanks revell - I work at a health food store & I went there yesterday to get my 50 billion probiotics - if I hadn't - I don't know where I'd be right now - I've already taken 4 since yesterday afternoon. I also have the grapefruit seed extract too - but just couldn't get myself to take it - for fear of vomitting it up with more acid.

lanettasmouse - I think you're right too with the bananas.

I think I will stick with juices & bananas today.

Water rich soft fruits (like melons, bananas, etc.) - and fruit juices....will digest quickly and well. Power and success to you.

Thanks for the suggestions. A few months ago I found myself with a new allergy to mushrooms and was dehydrated and down for 3 days. I finally mixed water with salt, sugar, and baking soda to rehydrate myself and it did.
Not exactly raw ingredients, but we have to be careful as anyone whose suffered from food poisoning knows it takes the body completely down.

What does grapefruit seed extract do?? Just wondering? Isn't also good to wash veggies in to help get rid of e-coli and other bacterias, or am I mistaken??

coconut water is good for replenishing and rehydration; has electrolytes, etc, and might be a more natural source and more nutritional value/ie absorbable nutrients than the vitamin water.

Get some clay. Some french green clay or Kaolin. You should find it in a chemists shop or wholefood shop but definitely online. It absorbs poisons and takes them out of the body. The wild animals and birds eat it when their only food is toxic leaves and berries. One dessertspoon in a glass of water. It will make you constipated, but that is better than poisoned.:)

virginia snake root extract (herb) in a glass of water. about ten drops of the herb to a glass of water...
my dad had a BBBbad (S.A.D) case of food poisoning last month. I gave him a glass of vsr water & he was back in business an hour later.

It's a natural antibiotic with no side effects and yes, it's great for washing veggies. Great for skin conditions. About 10 drops in a tub of water....
