Has anyone heard of this- I'm thinking of starting to take 200mg supplements everyday after I did some reasearch and found that magnesium is really good for you...

Actually, it depends on what it is you are craving. There are many reasons your body craves for things. Magnesium will help if you have major cravings for Peanut Butter and Chocolate, in my experience. I mean, I would litterally carry a jar of PB around the house and eat it with a spoon, and chocolate, I would give my right hand for some! Since taking Magnesium per Drs orders, I don't crave it anymore. Sure, I still like it, but not like before.
Chromium helps stabilize blood sugar so that will help with cravings as well.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, I agree with 4forme. Magnesium is great for chocolate and peanutbutter cravings. I used to have those really badly.
If you are having lots of cravings around the time of your period, then you should definitely try to get more magnesium because many women often have low magnesium right before they get their periods.
The raw diet is much higher in magnesium, so that should help.
I often take warm baths with epsom salts dissolved in them. Epsom salts are magnesium sulfate. Some of the magnesium gets aborbed through your skin. That's why epsom salt baths help your muscles relax (magnesium makes everything relax, and your magnesium levels can get depleted through lots of stress). I would try the baths and eating more raw chocolate and raw mushrooms before taking the pills. I stopped taking magnesium supplements because they would upset my stomach. Plus, who know's what's in them? They could be made in China and cut with concrete. I try to avoid taking pills as much as possible.

Ooooh Rawstrength thanks for the info about stress and relaxing- I'm not even going to go there about my anxiety issues, anywhoo I'm thinking of chromium too, glad that was mentioned.
Basically I just have awful cravings for sweets and anything that would help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the input guys!
