Hi there I recognise some of those 'reasons/excuses'...have you been reading my journal :p LOL

I keep telling myself it is ok to be cooked vegan through the winter but the weight Im gaining seems to be my body protesting!

We can do it...just got to get out of our own way ;)

Raw will be easier when…... its harvest season and fresh foods are abundant could be another to add to the list.

Two of my recent posts sum up how I feel about raw. Here is the first post:
http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?p=377846#post377846 and a quote from it:
I was reading Karen Knowler's latest newsletter today and she has a short self test in there that caused me to stop and look at my raw food lifestyle. Some of my answers made me realize that I have turned the page and am well past the transition phase and "out of the woods" when it comes to eating raw. My answers showed me that I am satisfied with my raw food lifestyle and no longer have any desire for dead foods. The answers to her questions put a smile on my face as I realized that I am not longing for more from my fresh and simple raw food lifestyle. I am a satisfied fresh raw food eater and that its a done deal for me

And heres the second post: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?p=378104#post378104 and a quote from it:

I like to think of peace as being the opposite of agitation. Peace to me is a state of rest, a feeling of being satisfied, and overall harmony. Its a feeling of not having to go anywhere or do anything, just relaxing.

This is as close as I can come to a description of how I feel about eating raw. This feeling of being in harmony with the raw foods and not wanting anything more has been developing steadily since I went all raw. I guess it just takes time and patience and is something that for me has just happened naturally. I find it very satisfying to be all fresh naturally raw. Hopefully your list of excuses will change into feelings of peace and harmony as you continue on your raw journey. I wish I could point to something and say "try this" but I can't because for me raw just clicked naturally like a fish finding water to swim in.

You sound JUST LIKE ME!! I'll tell you what totally worked for me! I started back to raw again recently with a 3 day waterfast to get a good handle on my food addiction. Then I started eating as much superfoods/superherbs as I could get my hands on. They store very well and they have so much more nutrition then the average produce and you can order them online so it dosn't matter where you live. I started foraging for food in my neighborhood and the areas just out of town for highly nutritious wild foods. I have no cravings and I don't hardly need to eat much! I'm good with a salad or a wrap later in the evening and I just have a superfood coffee for breakfast and I snack on superfoods if I feel like munching.

Those might actually all be legit reasons why raw will be easier..but none of them are good excuses why raw is impossible!! Raw IS possible without books, fancy appliances, and even a whole lot of will power. Just buy raw foods. Eat raw foods. Don't even have the other stuff near you. It's hard to eat something if you just don't have it. :)
