Hello everyone, driving home from work today I was listening to a gentleman speak of Genetically Engineered Food. I listened to his lecture for as long as I could before it ended. If you need some inspiration on your raw journey and need a new book to read I would definitely recommend his. I haven't read it yet but do intend to. Looking at the Amazon reviews, they are all positive. It makes me so mad that others are allowed to alter our food and there is no requirement to label it as such. Yet, the European Union won't allow the import of these foods due to their safety still being unproven.

I know that organic is expensive but the more and more I hear of what happens with our produce and the possible effects it has on our health, the more I want to avoid it. The book is called Seeds of Deception: Exposing Industry and Government Lies About the Safety of Genetically Engineered Foods Your Eating by Jeffrey M. Smith. Take a look on Amazon and see what others have said that read the book. From his lecture I highly recommend researching this topic on your own by beginning with his book. His recommendation is to eat organic and locally-produced food.

Let me know if any of you out there are a step ahead and have read the book already.

I am going to check out that book asap. I was just reading about that same sort of thing in Carl Alt's book on raw eating. I am going to finish the vegies I have in my fridge now and I will go 100% organic. I'm with you on the price thing but my grocery store is starting to carry organic produce with really great prices. Thanks for passing along the info.
