I am just started my 4th week being raw, and I noticed that I don't loose weight anymore. But I did't do much sport lately. Can it be the reason?

elinka,

it depends on many factors but certainly not getting any exercise is one big factor.

are you 100% raw all the time?

and what just remember the body will ebb and flow with various factors.

be patient, keep raw and stick with it! Alicia

Raw food is not about quick weight loss. It's about lifetime health.

Give it time, keep on being raw, and you will lose weight.

My dad has been 100% raw since Jan 1st and he has not lost ANY weight. (He is a big German guy weighing in at 330 pounds!.. so you think he would lose weight!) My theory is that all the enzymes and healing power that raw food is giving him is going towards healing other issues he has such as high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, gout.. etc... In time he will lose weight.. I know it! His body is just healing the highest priority issues. I'm so proud of him right now for doing this.
Does that make sense?

Don't be discouraged. You will lose weight. Just keep going. This is not a 'diet'. It's a way of life to be healthy and happy and live a long time.

Thanks Melanie
Theoretically, I know this too. I just felt kind of unsured if everything I am doing is right. As I mentioned before, I am not very much into sport right now, and I am craving a lot of sweet fruits, nuts and chocolate.
But I know that whatever I am craving, my body needs it. So, I will keep on doing whatever I am doing, and will add some yoga to my routine.
Thanks for the support, everybody!

Good job!!
Keep up the positivity and you will do great. With good health, comes a healthy weight. You just have to patient and it will happen. It took me quite a while to lose weight actually. I was always 90% raw and complaining that I wasn't losing. Once I took the leap to 100% the pounds just flew right off.

9 lbs of weight loss on 4 weeks is good! That is a healthy amount of weight loss. I think because we all read the drastic accounts of losing 20-30 lbs the first month, we expect to lose that much, but your body will regulate appropriately. Trust your body! You'll be fine. :) good luck!

I think alot of people who lose massive amounts in the first month were carrying alot of excess water. I know that this last summer when i had a fling with raw for a couple of weeks I lost about 10lbs. I would put about 3/4 of that to water loss, as i noticed seams and blankets weren't leaving track marks on my legs, arms and face anymore.
