View Full Version : A Great Food for a Sensitive or Upset Stomach

This is probably really obvious to a lot of you... I don't know why it wasn't immediately obvious to me!

I have a really sensitive stomach that had MAJOR problems before raw, and recently I've had mostly raw food but a few slips and have really not been doing the best to take care. My poor, poor abused and weak digestive system!

Anyways, I had read about people just blending bananas and water, but for some reason never tried it. I had that for breakfast this morning with a touch of vanilla, some agave and a few ice cubes. Wow, perfect! It was soooo good and my stomach is happy and full but not bloated. Considering the stomach pains I was having last night and when I woke up, this is quite the miracle.

What I used (makes about 16-20 oz)
2 ripe bananas
2" of vanilla bean (I'm sure it would be fine with a touch of the liquid or without anything)
1 tablespoon agave
6-8 cubes ice
3/4 cup water

If my stomach weren't having such a rough time, I would maybe add cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe some ginger or cayenne to make it like a chai.

Never thought of it as a Recipe.....I just do it when I have too many Bananas and when I AM LAZY and want something FAST to substain me. Thanks for Sharing.....
