Maybe it depends of the tolerance of your body. It has been said that eating cold isn't the greatest and our spleem may be affected the most. I guess everything in moderation. I would only eat in cold only like ice cream (raw vegan icecream), smoothies made with frosen fruits, etc.... but typically i try to eat at room temperature or will warm up my sauce, soupe or certain meal in my dehydrator.

Bad for the teeth if you are chewing it. If you merely suck on the cubes, probably not so bad.

Do you crave ice and love to chew it? If so it could be a sign of Anemia or Iron defeciency. Look up Pica or Pagophagia.

Why is it bad for your teeth. I have a friend who chews ice all the time and they have never had a cavity or any other dental trouble.

I agree with this! Throughout all my teen yrs I craved chewing ice, wanted it whenever possible, come to find out I was anemic, but only mildly, so the drs never said anything. Same during all my pregnancies. It apperantly wasn't bad enough to show up on blood tests but it made me crave chewing ice all the time though.
Once I doubled my prenatal vits. it went away.
As for just chewing it, without the craving, the only problem I see is possible hurting your teeth, and maybe considering the source of the water.
