Hi everyone!! My name is Jessica and I'm brand new to this forum! I am 21 years old... and I am a health freak! :) I had never heard about raw until about one month ago. I was at work and I questioned one of my co-workers on her diet since I never had seen her eat junk food before, turns out she has been 100% raw-vegan for 5 years now!!! and she's only 23!!! i asked her like a million questions that night because i was so amazed!! i have been doing lots of research on it and I am so excited to try it for myself! i am all prepared and ready to start this tomorrow, i'm going to start posting every day about my journey so be sure to check that out! i also am into long distance running and exercising, so if anyone wants to chat about that i would love to find out some more info on being raw-vegan while being very active (because that is one thing i am a little worried about). anyway, i'll be back a little later tonight, off to church :) Jessica :D

Welcome, fellow Washingtonian! Although I'm in LA now, I still call Washington home. There's a few folks from the Pacific NW on the board. Hopefully you'll be able to get together with a few.

Hi, welcome to this forum! Lots of supportive and wonderful people here. I just finished my 30 day challenge, and I want to start another one tomorrow. I would love to have somebody to talk to every day, to exchange recipes, talk about how we are feeling, and so on. Pm me if you are interested! :)

Hey Jessica! My name is Alison. I'll by 20 in a few weeks. I've just become a raw vegan two weeks ago to achieve more energy and to prevent diabetes (my mom has diabetes). So far it's going great. I love to run long-distance as well. I did cross-country in high school, though was never great at it. I want to start running half marathons soon. Do you run with a team and do competitions, or do you go solo?
Let me know how your diet goes!

Hi Jessica.
I'm 21 too. I live in Sitka, Alaska, but my husband's family owns a small organic farm in eastern Washington. If you ever go to pike's place look for Mair Farm- Taki in the organic section!! They have excellent fruit. Anyway, I've just been reading a lot about the benefits of raw food and really feel like it's the way to go. Today's only my 2nd consecutive day 100% raw, but I've been semi-raw for a few weeks now, and am feeling great- more energy.
Welcome to this forum- it's a great little web-community!
