I'm used to eating arugula, baby spinach, and romaine raw, but what about supergreens like kale? Can I simply wash, chop, and eat raw? I enjoy the taste of other greens eaten this way, I feel so primitive lol.

I use strictly coconut oil, so I'm not sure if the massaging technique would work as I don't like to consume more than 2 tbls of it per day, and I eat 2 handfuls of green /day, so I'm not sure if I would have enough oil to soften it up.

Any feedback on this? BTW- do other greens contain oxalates and goitrogens like kale? That's the knock on kale from what I've read, but I don't have any health problems so I don't know if I should worry about this.

Absolutely.

Personally, I don't think you should worry about anything. IF it's a concern, maybe do some research. But worry? Nooooo. Don't worry, be happy. :D

I haven't heard anything about this, but I eat tons of kale, more than any other green, and I've had no problems.

Yeah, I read up some more and apparently the warning is for people who have kidney/thyroid issues. Otherwise, eat up!

Can I remove the leaves from the stem and store, or will it stay fresher if I leave it in tact?
