Hi all
On day 4 with a few questions:
1) why do we lose weight when juice feasting?
2) do you restrain the pulp that the juicer left into your juice?
thanks in advance!

Hey, I just started the big juice feast today! I think we lose weight because we aren't getting the nut fats and oil fats and all that other stuff, plus no fiber. And our bodies have so much energy in them that it is maybe burning fat?? Just a guess. I do strain the pulp out because if you don't, you are still getting fiber and your digestive system will have to work to digest it. To give your digestive system a complete break, strain out the pulp. I just have a mesh colander type thing that I pour the juice through. I just read this from Angela stokes Juice Feaster's Handbook. The handbook I think is going to be really helpful for this feast. Keep me updated on how your feast is going, will you? :D

yes I will. I know that Angela Stokes recommends doing an enema every day for the first week or two. Are you doing this? I have never done one and don't have the materials to do them. How does it work and what do I do? I was thinking of just doing a colonic once a week for the first month.

Also, This is day 2 for me and it is hard for me to drink an entire gallon of juice. Is this normal? How's your feast going?

hello there,
my feast is going well. i am usually able to drink right around a gallon or so a day. i pretty much don't eat from 7PM to around 1PM the next day. so i do a lot of drinking in just a few hours. i have been extremely tired lately. like really, really tired. is this happening to you?
i haven't had to do an enema because i'm having bm's without them. . . sorry, too much information, i know. if i get to a point where i can't go without them, i'll use them. i water fasted for 25 days this summer, and i couldn't go long without an enema. i just bought little plastic enema bottles from the drug store and use those. i don't have the whole bag and cords, etc. setup. i hope i answered your question.
i hope you are well.

hey daisy, i am sorry to say that tomorrow I am ending my feast. My heart just isn't entirely in it at this time. It has been a good experience trying it for a few days, and i now know what to expect when I decide to take it full on, which will probably be in March. The reason I began the feast is because I ate some cooked food after 6 months of 100%, and noticed myself becoming completely addicted to cooked food again (particularly sushi):o So I feel like this short fast got me back on track with raw and I'm going to stick with raw again. I have never done a fast before, so going straight to the juice feast is just too much for me. But I send you the best of luck on your journey and I sincerely hope it goes well for you. The tiredness will soon be gone and you'll be feeling on top of the world!
