I have been reading this site for a while and want to go raw. I have just finished Alissa book, but a lot of the recipes call for nuts.....I am allergic to most of them. Does anyone know of any alternatives that I could substitute?
Thanks
Vanessa

No, I am ok with seeds...so if I switch them up I should be ok? Will that make the food taste worse?

it should be okay. i usually use seeds in savory recipes when they call for almonds, and have found sunflower to work out the best for me. pumpkin is okay too.
i have not tried seeds in any desserts though.
also, reduce the quantity that your recipes make the first time around... to make sure you like it and don't waste your food!

I use mild seeds like sunflower in sweet recipes with no problem. They work best in recipes with strong flavours like cacao because you don't taste the difference.
