I've heard colloidal silver being touted as an alternative to antibiotics. At the time I did wonder why modern medicine would discard something that appeared to work so well and yet had no side-effects, and instead produce antibiotics. Well, now I know - using colloidal silver eventually turns you blue! The condition is called argyria.

Our family has been using a very high quality colloidal for year's now. We do not use it on a daily basis, but only as needed. I even used it on a stray cat that was diagnosed with feline luekemia 3 years ago and the cat is now thriving! I used it under her holistic vet's supervision. I think that people who use poorly made colloidal and take it in excess are the one's who will experience problem's.

Thank's for sharing:)

That is only if you have too much. and i mean LARGE DOSES. I use it every day and more in times of infection. No problems.

Don't even get me started on why "modern" medicine and the FDA does anything!

There is a ton of information on the net on how to make collodiol silver properly and why when not made properly it can cause problems and even then rarely. The guy with argyria was drinking a qt. a day of his own stuff...he made it using tap water and added salt which makes it faster but makes the particles too big to be used by the body and so is stores in the tissues. He did this for 14 years and even after turning blue/grey he continued to do it and still does.

Just like echinacea, cs is typically used when there is a problem not taken everyday over a long period, though many might disagree. And I think like cabosun and blix said, there are safe and effective ways to use cs that are not excessive or dangerous.

Is it safe to use cs (15ppm) as eyedrops? I've been using it every night for the past few months because it soothes my eyes after working all day at a computer station, my eyes burn and feel strained and the cs helps. Does it actually penetrate into my bloodstream?

This is nothing new. I can remember hearing stories of the blue people when I was a kid. So I was somewhat fearful when it was recommended by my health food store. I was told something about how it was approved by someone. CDC? Not sure exactly. I know it wasn't the FDA.

Have you heard of eyebright tea? Worked miracles for my grandfather. You rinse your eyes with a diluted solution regularly.

Oh, hey, thanks for that suggestion. I've been wanting to work with eyeball health since I've been wearing contacts for decades.
