View Full Version : My ears are ringing!

This is so odd, but it's happened two nights in a row, so I thought I'd post about it...
I made Alissa's Lemon pie and as I'm eating it, my right ear starts ringing. Last year at this time, I had a severe bout of illness that included an infected and seeping right eardrum. If I were lying on my side, bloody fluid would leak out and run down my neck. Could this be some kind of detox of my ear? It really is intense lemon--ie. the whole lemon, minus the peel.
Just curious what anyone thought. :)

Could be retracing. Do a banana search....many people have posted about their past injuries and sickness coming back temporarily and in a milder form.

That is such an interesting concept. Thank you! I've always had real trouble with my ears--as a kid, earaches and, as an adult, infected eardrums and, in the past few years, benign positional vertigo. I AM sort of braced for ear-related detox....sigh...that would be no fun. But I do want it out!
I appreciate your response, Nurse in the Raw. :)

I always had severe ear infections as a child.
Since studying nutrition, I've read a lot about it as well and apparently ringing in the ears and ear infections are related to allergies/food sensitivities. I would look into an allergy elimination diet for a few days. Maybe stay away from nuts for 5 days and then reincorporate them back into your diet. (one type of nuts every 2 days) If you feel symptoms, then you know you're allergic.
If you are allergic, staying on a raw food diet can actually stop your body from creating antibodies to the wrong things. How long have you been raw?
Hope this helped!

Hi~
I've been stabilized at about 90% raw only for one week. I had been at the same percentage for about 5 weeks then "fell off the wagon" for about 3 weeks. So my body's trying to figure out what's going on, I'm sure. That is interesting about the food allergies..hmm...I will give it a try with the nuts.
Thank you, too!

No problem!
There are tons of good books on allergies that discuss ear issues.
Hope you figure it out!
