Yuk! I just can't seem to stop coughing this stuff up. I'm not even sick! And (tmi warning)
some of it is really hard and gross and occasionally brownish. Is this detox? It's been going on for almost a week but recently it's gotten worse. When can I expect it to stop and should I do anything to speed its release? Thanks!

I posted about this 3 weeks ago or so. After I broke my 22 day fast I coughed up mucus non stop, especially in the mornings. It was a LOT and like you mentioned, brownish and hard. Turns out it is detox. All the mucus was loosened up during my fast and now it's just all coming out, which is great bc mucus causes illness. I coughed stuff up for a little over a month. Better out than in, I say!

I quit smoking cigarettes almost 30 years ago. I had a pack and a half daily smoking habit. When I quit smoking I coughed up dark mucus for a long time until finally it stopped and I was able to breathe freely once again like I did before smoking. Each time you release a glob of mucus be glad that your body is working toward your better health and wellness.

Oh yes when I quit smoking I coughed up mucus for a VERY long time, I think about 6 weeks. That was wayyyy before going raw. The body just knows what to do when you stop hurting it I guess.
