I ma trying to help her lose weight and get into shape with no luck! I have been making some raw foods for her to make a slow transition easier( for both of us) as neither of us are 100% raw as of yet. I also took her to the gym yesterday for the 2nd time. She made it through 15 minutes of WALKING on the treadmill before she got dizzy, lost conciousness and threw up all over the bathroom while we were holding her up! All for 15 minutes on a treadmill!!! Her body is obviously terribly unhealthy. Does anyone have a reason why this would happen. Her Dr. said she just overdone it...but that cant be it. She is on blood pressure pills for high bp, and thyroid pills for well, you guessed it, her thyroid. How am I ever going to get her excersising if this keeps happeing and the stupid Dr. tells her to not workout if that happens! FYI this is the second time this has happened to her. Please, if anyone knows what this may be or has had the same problems, or what to do to stop this so she CAN excersise I would be very greatful. Thanks.

PS. I realize you arent Dr's but maybe thats best:)

the only way to know is to start with 5 minutes very slowly and work from there - and maybe not on a full stomach! maybe fresh air would be easier for her?

you are a good egg for trying to help your mom - alicia

I'm sure you can do this; think 'baby steps' -- you will be surprised how fast these will add up. Is there someone at the gym who could advise and encourage you? I honestly think it's a case of just doing a very little at a time, but having a plan so that she gradually increases her exercise.

Going raw will help her in so many ways; its effect on the body is amazing, as you know. She will feel stronger, she will lose weight, and her blood pressure will drop. Hold the vision and just keep gently persevering: she will get there.

You are a wonderful, loving daughter.
