Are any of these foods acceptable for raw?
Olives (black canned, green in refrigerated jar)
So far i've had a frozen banana for breakfast and boy was it yummy! Tomorrow i'm going to try my first green smoothie!

perhaps the raisins and the pecans. you don't want to focus on concentrated foods though. you want to have a diet rich in juicy fruits and veggies and some soaked seeds, sea veggies, etc. do you have Alissa's book. she gives very good tips on how to get started. she doesn't recommend limiting your food intake when you first go raw.
if your pecans aren't roasted, they may be raw. if so, you should soak them before eating. it sounds like you've done some reading, at least regarding green smoothies. that's a good place to start. i'd pick up some basic books or look for info on the internet on getting started. good luck!

Do we always need to soak nuts? If so, why? I am sure I saw this in Alyssa's book but I forgot, or I didn't understand it. lol THanks:cool:
