The Power of NOW
I thought I'd share something that just happened to me. I'm so happy. Estactic really.
I have been wanting to purchase a Vita-Mix and Excalibur Dehydrator since I became a raw fooder a few months ago. I immediately thought they were out of my price range and always mentioned I would "save up for them". It was always about "sometime in the future" in passing conversation with others. Without completely realizing it, I was putting self-imposed limits on what I wanted and could receive.
There is a lot of information out there about clearly stating what you want, being present and the power of now. I've read a lot of the popular authors on the subject and I believe I live my life this way, but I still have some way to go with being completely present in more areas of my life. Well this was one of them! LOL. Wanting the Vita-Mix and Excalibur, but not believing I could have them without saving a lot of cash.
I just finished reading Wayne Dyer's Power of Intention earlier this month and I said to myself, "you know what, let's put this to the test!" I WANT A VITA-MIX NOW. I WANT AN EXCALIBUR DEHYDRATOR NOW. Following the suggestions of so many wise people, like Tony Robbins, I didn't worry about the money. Didn't even think about it. It was all about seeing myself using these appliances and having them. Two weeks ago I wrote down my goals in my journal, ink on paper, and began visualizing both appliances on my kitchen counter and using them. Not wishing or hoping, but seeing them clearly. When those little negative thoughts would creep in, I didn't resist them, I just held my vision firm in my mind. I did this at least once a day during my meditation and at other times during the day I would think about my vitamix and dehydrator. I even printed out photos of the models I wanted and made them visible.
SO GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?
A few days after I started this practice I was home surfing on the laptop and decided to look in my local Craigslist and on a whim I typed in dehydrator and up pops an ad for a 4 tray Excalibur Dehydrator for $50.00. $50.00!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes, but I knew it was mine. I immediately called the number, it had been posted for 4 hours already and so I thought someone else must've gotten this. The seller was the most amazing person which is another subject, but she is a raw foodist, is selling all of her belongings, quitting her job and moving abroad. The dehydrator was only used twice and is practically brand new. So I have my dehydrator now. And I was the first person to contact her.
That's not all....
I was so energized by this experience that I decided to go for a Vita-Mix. I went on EBAY and made a bid on a brand new one. The auction I happened to pick had a lot of bidders, but what was great is they had kept the price really low. I placed my bid at what I thought I could pay and GUESS WHAT?!! I WON! I now have a BRAND NEW Vita-Mix 4500 for $125.00.
I'm sharing my experience as inspiration for anyone who has been hoping for something and feel that it's out of reach or otherwise frequently saying or thinking they can't afford it. The key is to believe that you will have it, want it, feel it, breathe it in and don't worry about money. There is enough of everything out there for everyone. We are all abundant. Abundance and prosperity come in many forms, shapes and sizes, not just monetarily and in material form. You must include the ingredients of passion and joy about getting it in your visualizations, so that when you receive it, it will be received in joy. You cannot create out of despair and not having faith. You must want it, list why you want and it and believe that you can have it. When you really want something and believe that you can have it and allow it in. And see yourself having it NOW, in the Present Moment. It's yours in an instant. This is true for anything that you want in your life.
Everything is possible.
