Hi guys,

My boyfriend and I are going to watch the chargers/colts playoff game on Sunday at his best friend's house. My BF is trying raw for the first time and is committed to the 30 day challenge with me. I'm so proud b/c it was his idea for us to bring our own food over. I am looking for ideas of good munchies to bring along? I figure this is a timely thread with the superbowl coming up and all the food centric parties people will be attending. So what would you bring?

So far I'm thinking Alissa's spinach dip with crudite and apples with caramel dip. I'm hoping to get some pizza made by then, but it might not happen.

I want my BF to not feel deprived, but I also want his friends to be intrigued by raw food.

Go chargers!!
Cindy

Some guacamole with flax crackers would be good

Oh and some veggies with the cheddar cheese dip that I just made is the bomb! I just posted the recipe under the recipe section. Some broccoli and cauliflower would be nice veggies to go with it.

Oh and glad to here you actually have a BF now. I guess you have moved beyond casual dating huh!:D Good for you!

As a dessert, the dates with almond in the middle, or almond joy balls. They all taste great.

Alissa's Chili and Onion Dip with either flax crackers, tortillas (you can use her recipe for the enchilada shells but spread thinner and dried longer and add more salt, spices, etc.) or onion bread spread thin and dried to cracker stage (or can be still soft as the bread) and scored into desired sized pieces.

Kale chips

Soaked, seasoned, dehydrated mixed nuts/seeds

Brownies

And of course just some good ole fruit (whatever your favorites are) cut up

I love the recipe in Alyssa's book for Avocado Salsa. I put it on Portabella crowns and eat it like a tostada or I spoon a little on zucchini. It is soooooo good. If you like spice make sure to use the jalepenos and the cayenne. YUM!

Great idea guys! Duh - guacamole is perfect. I like the cheddar cheese idea. And I actually have yams I was planning to make chips with last week - I forgot about them...so I should use them up. That recipe sounds great!

Morn: Yes, I've been with the BF for about 6 months now. I think he's the one!!:D And my friends say he's gotta be wrapped around my little finger to decide to go raw for 30 days without me asking him to. Hehe. Though I was clear that I would be doing it, I didn't expect him to - I'm so proud of him though - he's done great!
