Here's how my day went: Woke up to what I like to refer to as the 'murder muffin' that muffin I'm not suppose to have because it murders my diet! Proceed to a few nuts (really good move), onto two ding dongs and a bag of potato chips (I don't eat ding dongs who is this?), proceeded to dump two old bananas in the trash. Can you believe this! Then I realized a couple hours later that they would be excellent in a green smoothie, so I pull them out like the good 'like to think I'm raw' girl that I am. So proud of myself at this point and now FINALLY the Grand Finale: A GREEN SMOOTHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And guess what I made it out of whatever was in my fridge: lettuce, celery, bananas and that's all...have to go to the store. It is absolutely delicious. These seem like pathetic baby steps, but I learned a few things while I was mostly raw since August. Forget about December. I really learned something and the fact that I can yank some old black bananas out of the trash and whip up a delicious green smoothie tells me I'm a little stronger than I think! This is setting me straight! When it comes to food if I divert I will go back to my old ways like most of us, but this raw thing has taken affect.

Reasons I like raw:
-Reverses the aging process
-Prevents disease
-Keeps my weight in check
-It feels right to me

Anyone else? I need all the help I can get so please bear with me!

Oh yes I understand! The trick for me is to stuff myself full of raw things before I have a chance to want the other stuff. Maybe someday I won't have to fill myself up to resist temptations, but for now it is the only way! It's always a process, whether we like it or not! Best wishes!!!

I know what you mean about tricks, I'm glad they work for you, sometimes we have to do whatever we can to stay raw. Do you have muffins in the house? That would really ruin it for me, I'm so grateful that my husband is with me on not having cooked foods in the house, but I know everyone does not have this luxury.

Glad you found a way to stay away from the SAD Foods.
