I've given up trying to get a decent mango or papaya this time of year. I'm curious what others do in the winter for those of us that derive a significant portion of our calories from fresh fruit. Tell me what you're eating:)

Hmmm....same stuff. Pineapple....avocado.....some coconut. Strawberries are coming into season. Lots of fresh orange juice. A few apples. It's all good.

I eat everything I can find. We have one grocery store that manages to keep a good variety of interesting fruits...grapes, papayas (even the monster hawaiian ones, kiwi, pineapple, chimoya, melons, berries, and some more odd ones.. I just pay more for it.

I'm in the UK and the best fruits at the moment here are big sweet mangoes, and the extra-large navel oranges which have just come back into season (imported, of course) -- I adore them, so sweet and juicy. alongside those, the nicest eating apples I can find -- still some russets around, which are my faves -- sweet grapes, bananas and avocados.

Definitely not a lot of selection this time of year here in the Pacific Northwest, so the usual winter produce... bananas, apples, oranges, grapefruit, and the pineapple has been very good.

All the melons are tasteless and the mangoes and papayas are very expensive but I buy them occasionally. Grapes are about $6.00 a lb. and are still pretty okay, I've been buying frozen berries or I'd not have any to eat at all!

I look forward to spring and summer especially, love my fruit!!

My winter is a bit different--but I am eating strawberries in abundance right now b/c they are in season from Plant City.

Oddly our melons still taste good.

And I eat bananas like nobodies business.

Lots of oranges, bananas, apples, pears, froozen rassberries and some froozen grapes that I picked last fall. I also got a few mangos from my mother in law, who got them from Costco.....they were really hard at first but when they softened up after 1 1/2 weeks, they were really good.

I'm am mostly fruitarian, so the winters in Seattle can be very tough! I can't wait to move to Hawaii!!!!
