Hey everyone.

Well I am at a point in my life where I need to find some self confidence. I know that losing weight is part of it, but I don't have the time to be perfect at that before the event I need to be confident in comes.

I love singing, and at lately I have been taking lessons and decided to go to music school. I have to audition though, and they will be judging me, lol. So I know that besides working on my vocals there is more to feeling confident when you get on stage in front of people.

So I am wondering if any of you have any advice on confidence.

I know that I will work a little on the physical and try to lose 20-25 pounds before the event comes so that I can fit into some clothes (I can't fit into any mall clothes right now and going in my pjays wont be an option, so there are no if ands or butts about having to lose weight, at least enough to fit into the clothing at the mall), and I will also get my hair done, and maybe some nice make-up.

But besides that I know something needs to click inside me, what has helped you guys?

Go raw!!! Right now! You'll feel better all over AND lose weight, probably quickly. :p

I find that eating fresh raw puts spring in my step and a smile on my face and feeling good. Thats not a bad place to confidently start your day.

Yes, being raw helps a lot, so does accepting and loving yourself exactly as you are, and creative visualization. There are tons of books on that and it's really a case of what resonates with you. I love 'You Can Heal Your Life' by Louise Hay, for starters... she has a lovely daily saying desk calendar, too --sounds a small thing, but having a positive affirmation staring at me on my desk all day is very inspiring and it's fun turning over a new one each day. Today's, which I'm just turning over to now, is 'All Is Well In My World'.

The Cafe Gratitude cookbook is wonderful, too, because that is full of positive energy and affirmations -- the recipes are inspiring, but to be honest, I like it best for the wonderful, life-affirming sayings and uplifting vibes which it brings. Be the fantastic being that you truly are!

wow. confidence, hu? hm... i still need to work on my own self-esteem. compared to me in the past though, i know i'm a lot more confident. the thing for me was i just put my in situations i feared. i was always the wall-flower & so i worked at the mall. my mom now says she can't get me to stop talking. :p

also, like prior posters mentioned, treating your body like the temple that it is will also help. it's already difficult working w/ our own minds but to deal w/ our messed up bodies, too? it's amazing how our bodies are handling the burden.
