Noisy Excalibur

My beloved Excalibur dehydrator used to be relatively quiet, with just the fan noise. Recently, though, that fan noise has become MUCH louder and has taken on a new quality, like a ticking or rattling. The cover does rattle as well, but this is not the issue, as the dehydrator makes the rattling sound even when the cover is off. The noise is so bothersome that I can't stand to have the dehydrator on when I'm home.

Anyone else have this problem and found a solution to it?

Revvell is right, give Excalibur a call. They have a good product and the only thing I hear people complain about is the sound of the fan. I hope you get your problem solved.
