I would like to transport some of my green drink to work... we have a fridge there (even if it's tiny) that I could use. Has anyone ever done this before?
Thanks!!!

Melissa,
I juice once a day, but make three servings at a time. I store my juice in 8oz jars which I fill to the top and close with a tight fitting lid. I don't think there's too much oxidation happening this way. I usually drink it within 7-8 hours. That's my 2 cents' worth..... :)

I do the same. Sometimes they go until the next day due to an unexpected schedule change and they still taste just as fresh to me.

I'm going to attempt this tomorrow as I don't have the day off...

I amke a bunch of juice and then freeze it to preserve it t little longer and then take a frozen juice with me to work where it stays cold and fresh as it thaws all day. It would be optimal if we could all drink freshly juiced items but let's face it most of us have to work and a lot of work environments do allow for appliances.
One more thing: Recently, I was involved in a conversation about this exact topic and someone made this point that made me actually stop and think, Hmmmm?
The question was: Do frozen (homemade)juices loose a lot of thier enzymes when they are frozen compared with fresh. The reply was: If it is possible to freeze embryos and then create a live human being from it then you can't possibly be losing that much nutrition from immediately frozen juices!
Good comparison, huh!

I love the idea of freezing it and letting it thaw at work... which is where I am right now... and I did bring in two large bottles of green drink (my home's becoming a refuge for all wayward large green leaves!!!) and I am sipping on it as I work. It's amazing that my greens aren't cancelled out by my apples. It's like drinking green apple juice! Thanks for the great idea, Rawjojo!

Are you joining the Bring Your Green Drink to Work Club? I've already had to explain it to a bunch of people who wanted to know what that gross stuff in the fridge was. And ask me if I care!!! I am so loving this - I get to work AND be healthy at the same time... what a thought! Hmmm... so far it seems to be working.

I have a thermos. In The Juiceman book he mentions filling a thermos to the top and then letting that little cork type thing to cause the juice to spill over as you screw it in, this keeps oxidation to a minimum. Obviously, you'll want to do this over a sink. If I think of it I will sometimes put ice water in the thermos while I make the juice to get the enviroment nice and cold.

I have to admit, green juice cold is amazing! YUM!!! I will seek out a good thermos this weekend and get into gear.

hehe yes if no one minds I would like to join this club. I have fallen short of doing this everyday like Alissa says, her green drink. I don't mind the taste but would like to have it as my mid morning meal since I have a smoothie for breakfast, which I am really enjoying trying different fruits together. I freeze a banana the night before and mix different fruits with it in the morning. Love this! Beats anything I have ever had for breakfast.

Sounds good to me, Curtis, and I bet your body will thank you for it... I know mine is! I get nothing but the ugliest of looks at work when I drink it, and I just smile away...
Love to all,
Melissa
