Omega Juicer's Melamine auger?

I just noticed in the Omega manual it says the auger is made of melamine. Isn't that what the pet food last year was recalled for? Because it had melamine? I also read the melamine is made with formaldehyde, are there any real studies proving thio toxic coktail doesn't leech into the juices? Are there other similar priced models without a melamine auger?
