I just wanted to post a couple few things that happened today, first of all ALISSAS BOOK CAME!!! I want to put the girls to bed and get reading right now!+! Unfortuatly it's only 630, they may have issues with this. Second i made the raw brownies with frosting that someone posted for me a few days ago. OMG, there isn't enough in one batch!! Their totally what i had for dinner!! SO SO GOOD! I added almond butter to my frosting and omg, i wish i had some right now....well i'm gonna start readin a little while the girls are occupied, i just had to share!

One thing I love about Alissa's book.....the chapters are bite size, not pages and pages and pages....oh, some are a little longer but it's a very easy read without lacking for content. Your going to love it!!!!

I just had to try the brownies because they sounded so good. I traced them back to an original post...here they are.

yes you can use carob instead, it will taste different but some people prefer the carob, I don't mind either really but I do love the taste of chocolate!

1 cup of walnuts (unsoaked)
1 cup of dates (pitted and unsoaked)
1/4 cup raw cacao powder (or carob)

Place in food processor and blend till well blended. It should be kind of sticky so that it holds together as the base.

The recipe then says to put the base in a springform pan and put in fridge for 30 mins. I have never put it in the fridge before putting frosting on top I just make sure the base is sticky enough from the dates to hold together without being put in the fridge.

Icing

2 small ripe avocados
1/2-3/4 cup agave
1/4 cup raw cacao powder (or carob)
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash of sea salt
dash of cinnamon if you wish

Blend everything in a food processor or blender and put on the brownie.

You can garnish it with banana or strawberries, my personal favourite is blueberries! Or even better having it with raw banana ice cream!

Thanks for the recipe :)
