i had some wasabi green peas last night at work. i was really stressed and rationalized that they were probably mostly raw (not a good way of thinking). i dont feel bad physically today but i feel really guilty. does anyone know if they are actually raw? is wasabi raw?
thanks

Unfortunately, wasabi peas are not raw and usually have some form of sugar, such as corn syrup, in the wasabi coating. The peas are hollowed out before drying and then coated with a wasabi paste. Since I've seen raw recipes with wasabi listed, I assume that wasabi itself is okay. Someone on the board did try to make wasabi peas in the deydrator and they did not turn out well. If anyone comes up with a successful recipe, please post!
