How do y'all deal with sick days?
Stomach viruses? (Vomiting or just stomach ache)
Colds?
Allergies?

Any ideas?

I'm actually just getting over a cold now, so perfect timing for your post! I used to be the one with record numbers of trips to the doctor, and so far in my three months of being raw, this is the first time I've been sick, and I got over it in record time. I can't believe I feel back to normal already!

Anyway, to answer your question, I rested a lot and did a one-day water fast since I wasn't really hungry anyway. I refused to take any medications so that I could actually detox for once and I just let the symptoms run their course. Not exactly the most pleasant, but I'll take a couple days of symptoms over the week or two I used to have. I also drank water with lemon and cayenne to help clear my sinuses out. All of that seemed to do the trick!

I agree with letting our bodies do their thing. I'm amazed at how many drugs people take. (Though Keith Richards is still 'alive'. Go figure!) It floors people when I don't go to Doctor for every little thing.
I like the idea of detoxing when sick. And of course fluids.
My daughter was very sick with a stomach thing. Green smoothies were out. My loving husband bought her ginger ale which she loved. She hated my ginger tea. Hmmph! Then when she was ready to eat he bought her Campbell's chicken soup! Oh well. He means well. She ate a little and had a little of my green smoothie. I also did some aromatherapy rubs on her belly.
My dinner was a 'juice' of beets, cabbage, celery, carrots, radishes and lot of GARLIC. I'm hoping to kill any germs I might get from her breathing on me and from when I holding her hair back while she... you know.

If I have stomach pain I try not to move much, just lie still. I have noticed that groaning makes me feel worse. When puking I try to get it all in the toilet or sink to minimize the clean up afterward, I keep a lined trash basket next to the bed for emergencies.

When I get sick I always think of eating in terms of flushing out the bad and allowing my body to rest.

With that in mind I try to eat (if anything) quick exit foods; I dont want my energy stores going to hard digetsion. Mostly though super green juices with wheat grass and green smooties.

Cheers,

EPPP
