Can I just dump my juicer pulp into the ground in my backyard, work it in, and call it a day? I have to say, I don't understand composting at all - why can't I just put it directly into the soil?

Even use it as fertilizer around plants. Blend well with the soil.

It takes time to break down and attracts bugs - compost bins at least keep the bugs isolated until it's ready.

Hey! For fruit pulp, I just make little patties and dehydrate for a nice chewy snack later on!:D
