I adapted this from a Brian Au recipe that I got somehow inspired to create this morning. I think it came out delicious, dh did, too!! I may not have the ingredient amounts down perfectly so feel free to explore!

1 1/2 c soaked, dehydrated walnuts
1/4 tsp himalayan salt
4-5 Tbl. raw honey
1 Tbl. agave

granny smith apples sliced at #2 on a mandolin (maybe 1-1 1/2)

Pulse 1st 4 ingredients in a FP until VERY coarse.
place waxed paper in a bread pan and alternate slices of apples and sweet-meat. I got 3 apple layers and 2 sweet layers.

optional but delish!
mix juice of 1/2 lime (large) or of 1 small lime with 1 TBL. honey and pour over top. Let sit for 5 or more minutes, refridgerate or serve room temp.

I can't wait to make thins into a whole pie some day!!

My mandolin slicer doesn't have the # settings....about how thin would you say your slices are?

very thin, not the thinnest I can go, like 1/8 of an inch or less. But thicker may taste even better?!
