Anyone know which foods are best for aiding concentration?

I have exams over the next 2 weeks...

The only thing I can think of is omega 3s, so I was going to put some hemp oil in my morning smoothie.

Cacao is also great!
When I when in school, before anatomy exams, my professor would hand out
dark chocolates and extole the benefits of chocolate for concentration.

p. s. My favorite smoothie/ milkshake is ground cacao and flax seeds, 2 bananas and almond milk.

I think that you need to make sure that you are getting Essential Fatty Acids.

Truthfully--green juice has been working for me...kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, maybe some carrot, and a green apple. Basically Alissa's recipe in her book modified if I am missing something in my fridge.

It wakes my brain up.

I am ADHD..so the natural occurring caffeine in chocolate...does nothing for me (well...maybe put me to sleep.)

At one time--way pre-raw...I was suprised at what gingko biloba did for me. I am not sure if that is available raw or what you would use instead. It did wonders, but then they did a lot of reports about how it wasn't proven by the FDA and that any effects were placebo...and I listend. Green juice is the first time I had a similar effect. But I'm sure the FDA would call it a placebo. Well, I will continue drinking my placebo then.:D

My juicer can't handle leafy greens so I will do green smoothies instead, hopefully that'll have the same effect.

Good to hear about the cacao as well, any excuse to consume more cacao :o

I think tomorrow morning I'll make myself a 'concentration shake' with bananas, cacao, spinach and flax

I think dark leafy greens and protein foods like hemp seeds or powder help me. So green smoothies all the way!
