I was just watchin a show on E! about fad diets. They had a section about raw foodists and juliano and some other recognizable raw foodies were on it. It was pretty cool, I hope it is on again!

I know that but people who are looking at it from the outside do not see it as a lifestyle so I guess that is why they included it on that show. None the less it was a very positive and compared to the other diets that people do according to that show Raw looked like the only sane one haha:D

I am currently watching that special on E and saw the part about the raw lifestyle-glad it was on there and I enjoyed watching it. I wish there was a raw cooking food on the food network as well.

The segment on Raw foods was better than I thought it would be. Featured a Raw Foodist I had never heard of. Nwenna Kai. She owns Taste of the Goddess Cafe in LA. Website claims to deliver food to many celebrities. David Wolfe was featured as was one of the authors of "Skinny B****". The nutritionist who they wanted to be against raw foods never spoke 100% against it she advocated a combination of cooked and raw. While I don't agree, I think the medical nutrition community may be coming around a little. 100% raw is the way to go and getting the message out on mainstream TV only helps to open peoples eyes. If I could get my friends and family to just consider reading the labels on the processed garbage they eat I would be happy. Before raw I was a vegetarian. My motto was, if I can't pronounce it I don't want to put it in my body. I can't believe people still eat Monounsaturatedhypoglycemicglutamatereddyenumber5g oopypoopygarbage.
Was that word long enough? Some of the words in the ingredients take up the whole ingredient list. Amazing. Anyway, the show was interesting and I'm glad raw foods was not put in an ultra negative light.

This is really some interesting facts on fertility. We have several friends that want children and can't get pregnant, although they aren't really open to raw foods.

I saw that yesterday as well, it was a nice little surprise since I didn't know it would be on. I've been on a month long bad food bender and it really made me feel like I'm welcomed back to the community.

That Juliano is something else. Also David Wolfe wasn't an author of "Skinny B*tch" I don't think (two women wrote that). He wrote a couple of other books I have. Sun System Diet and something about beauty. It's Monday morning, I don't know what I'm talking about.

We had this show on while we were working in our home office. I found it interesting that my husband and I were somewhat listening and commenting on the various diets but when the Raw came on my husband rolled his chair over to the TV and watched intently. He is not Raw, I am. He is pretty supportive. He noted that the RAW foodies glowed and looked more energetic and vibrant then the other "dieters".

I read Skinny B**ch, and I did not pick up on the fact the authors were Raw, they recommended Raw food but never mentioned following (exclusively) the Raw Food Lifestyle.
