I bought a new Honeydew honey they had at the health food store for $13 for 500 grams. This is honey that rather than being from plant nectar is from a liquid of an insect that lives in tree bark.
When I first smelled and tasted it, Im was disgusted, the smell and taste are terrible. Does anyone actually like this stuff?
I guess I'll have to try and put tiny amounts in eveyrthing I eat to get rid of it, but I raelly wonder if anyone likes such a terrible taste?
I wish I could return it, it's THAT bad. I wonder whn the company even bothers selling it... well, it's a new product, I guess it will be pulled of the shelves in no time as I doubt there will be any repeat customers on that one!

Well it's not "bad" in the sense that its expired, it's bad in the sense that I hate the taste. Would they take a return just because it's not my taste?
I can still put a bit in eveyrthing I make, at least it apparently has much more nutrition than other honeys.

Many people LOVE the taste of duran aka "stink fruit" so yeah, I'm sure SOME one must like that. :)

Durian doesn't taste what it smells, this honey does.

Ooh I'd love to buy some of that but its not available raw in Britain.
I'm sorry you don't like the taste but don't give it away straight away - give yourself time to acclimatise to it. Most people hate cigerettes and alcohol the first time they taste them, then they come to love them.
I hated heather honey the first time I tasted it. It's a black honey and has a strong taste, and isnt sweet as the honey I'm used to. But now I love it!!! In fact I prefer it. Which is great because its higher in antioxidants. Honeydew as you know is even higher so I think it would be best for you to add a bit to everything so that you wont taste it but will get the nutrition.
And try a bit - half a teaspoon - every day, and eventually you might like it.
I used to loathe avocados, now I couldn't live without them.
Its surprising how quickly a jar of honey gets used up. 500g is only 1 1/2 cups/24 tablespoons.
If you use 2 tablespoons per recipe thats only 12 recipes!!

Hmm, you could give it a chance to try and get yourself to like it!
When I first tried some raw honey I got I didn't like it at all but by the end of the jar I was eating it off the spoon :D

It does to me. You say: "Im was disgusted, the smell and taste are terrible..."
That's how I feel about durian. You ask: "Does anyone actually like this stuff?"
And I say, yes! If people like durian which to me, stinks and tastes like rotten onions then yes, there are people who absolutely LOVE that honey.

I had no idea people ate this stuff, how would they collect it? I have watched videos of hummingbirds zipping around and collecting the little drops straight off the the bugs bums, which is neat. News to me.

lol!
My dogs always empty the cats litter tray for me. Sometimes they'll eat it straight from the cat without allowing it to fall in the tray first. I guess all creatures are basically the same.

That is disgusting but it saves you from cleaning it up, and it's recycling! :o
