The recipe on goneraw calls for onions sliced in the FP. It there any reason I can't chop them smaller with the blade. skater gus doesn't think the pic looks very appetizing and I think it because of the large onion pieces. Do you think I would have to cut down on the amount of onion if I chopped them smaller?

You may wish to cut down period because it's pretty onion-y...some LOVE how onion-y it is and others are repulsed by it...the smell of it drying even.
I always cut down on the amount of onions and it still turns out great and you'll still know it's onion bread!
As for how you slice or chop...that's personal preference. I normally chop the onions but not too finely to where it's mush because it can make it very strong and bitter...so just pulse chop in the fp or chop by hand rather than slice into ringlets. I didn't care much for the rings either and my kids didn't quite care for the appearance much either so we just use chopped and it's great!

I just use my knife, cut onion in half and do thin half slices, or even quarter, small red onion are beautiful, I use the "better onion bread" recipe. I like the extra veggies. It is beautiful and wrap like, if you finely grind your flax and soak the meal and other presoaked ( then ground) seeds for at least an hour or so in the liquids, then add the wet grated veggies, folding the oinion in last. Sometimes I even add some juicer pulp. Use as much or little onion as you want, and cut it the way you want, you are the creator her.

That's the correct name at goneraw. I really believe this is the one to play with.
