I just received a juicer for christmas, so excited about it! However, my juice always turns out really frothy, about 70% of the juice is froth right after I juice it. If i let it sit, then it settles and only about an inch of the juice is froth. I don't mind letting it sit, but thought the sooner you drank it the more nutrients you get. Is there a way to prevent so much froth!? Let me know if anyone can help thankyou!

give it a good stir... that'll settle down the froth!
and a better juicer always helps... but hey, you work with what you have!

Hey there,
I also have a hamilton Beach one as well, but luckily I do not really have froth. I will in the near future move to a better juicer, but it has been really good for me-no complaints. Good luck to you :)

I strain my juice if it gets too frothy. When I make apple cider, I have to strain it or the froth gets yucky. Good luck!

I have a the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL
http://www.brevilleusa.com/products/800jexl/index.jsp?sku=800jexl&cID=231&pID=1&pvID=1
which cost me $300, and I still get froth, especially with carrots. I just let it sit and scoop some of it out. I dont have a strainer, but I should get one.

I have the same one and I get soooo much froth with carrots! I notice I get more froth lately than I am happy with. My mom has a $99 Jack Lalane (sp?) juicer that I used over the holidays and it was totally froth free.

Thanks everyone, good knowing the froth isn't just my juicer, it does work pretty good outside of that.

I have a champion juicer and I get more froth than I'd like but I've never heard of a juicer that doesn't get any froth. Does it leave alot of pulp/fiber in your juice when you do carrots? By the way, just curious, is your Mom raw too? I'd love to have mom be raw, it would be a fun thing to have to share.

My mom isn't raw (I wish she was, though) but she does enjoy juicing. I wouldn't actually declare that the juice was 100% froth free, but close to it. Not much pulp in the juice either. I was pleasantly surprised. I just strain my juice now, which takes so much time, but I guess I have no other choice!
