Hello all!
I am on day four of the raw diet-yea for me. I have been about 80% or more before hand. Anyways, I have been noticing bad odor when I have not before. When I went off the wagon it was bad for like chips, chocolate, etc. So, is that detox of toxins releasing from my body? Second question about eating nuts-should you always soak them before eating them to get the best nutritional value out of them? That is all for now. Thanks!

I do believe you should soak the nuts to get more nutrition out of them yes. And as for the body odour... I only noticed a change in my body odour when I stopped using standard deodarants that have aluminium, because I wasn't blocking my skin anymore with aluminium all the toxins were released and sometimes I sweated heaps and sometimes it didn't smell so nice!:p

Yes it more than likely is detox - Make sure you are drinking lots and LOTS of water to keep your body flushed, and make sure your bowels are moving too. When you are detoxing - you don't want to keep the poisons and toxins in your body -- flush them out!
as far as soaking - it is always a good idea to soak your seeds and nuts b4 eating them-
soaking does several things:
releases nutrients making them available for absorption
It can increase a seeds nutrition content by 400 % !
sprouting will brake down starches into simple sugars
proteins are predigested into easy-to-assimilate free amino acids
and fat is converted into easily digestible and soluble fatty acids.
seeds and nuts contain 'enzyme inhibitors' (something that keeps enzymes dormant until the right growing conditions) by soaking and sprouting -- you get rid of the enzyme inhibitor while PRESERVING the healthful enzymes!
On occasion though - when I'm in a hurry -- I do eat unsoaked nuts -- but it is always better to soak them if you can!!
