This might sound strange, but i have noticed a slight pain near my right ear and neck, about 4 days back when i got out of bed, i thought it may be that i must have twisted myself in the sleep, i thought it will go off but from yesterday the pain started increasing and there is a lump/ bump below the ear right, above the neck, i am not sure if this is a muscle catch or something else, now the pain is increasing even more and hurting me very badly, my friend suggested, going to an ENT specialist, but i don't want to go. (i know what i will be getting antibiotics/ pain killers which i don't want to use). Do i have any other healthy option here. is ENT the only kind of doctor who i should be seeing? are there any other doctors who are into alternative medicine that i can go for? please advice as i need to go as soon as i can since the bump is getting bigger and making it difficult for me to move my jaws or to eat as well.
(note: i don't think this is a detox symptom, as i am not 100% raw and still transitioning, however the last few days, my eating habits were not the healthiest, due to all the travel that i had, could this be the reason? I don't know...)

I would probably see a family doc to see if they can give me an idea of what it was.
Unless a problem of pain is in the ear, nose, or throat--I'm not quite sure what they could do. Is the pain more surface, or does it feel like it is inside your ear like down in the ear canal?
Is it a lymph node?
Those are somewhat located where you are describing...though not so close to the ear.
If it is lymph, either your body has an infection...or it is busy detoxing which IIRC is what the lymph system does for the body.

btw..a naturopath I think is a doc who does natural medicine.
I see an osteopath (a DO) who doesn't go run of the mill textbook doctor on you.

Thanks for your response momma-rawma, unfortunately i Don't have a family doctor, never had one in this country. Since i never had the need to have a family doctor so far, honestly i am not much keen on seeing the regular doctors after some bad experiences i had in the past. I mostly look for some kind of home remedies unless i know it doesn't help thats when i go to a doctor. except for a gynecologist, i haven't really been to any other doctor over the last couple of years.
The pain and bump that i notice are at the end of the right ear / where the jaw ends near the ear, there are 2 bumps actually the smaller one is to the front of the ear ending/ jaw ending connection. the other larger bump is a little back to the front one more closer to the back of the ear ending part. So its more of the Jaw/ear combo rather then the neck/ear combo. Hope i dint confuse you with my description. I do feel inside my ear slight pain due to the swelling, but no pain inside the ear canal. The pain is more felt when i open my mouth/jaws. Except for the swelling part i don't see any change of color on the surface of the skin.
Could this be the lymph that you are talking about? are there any other tips/ home remedies that i can try? I am willing to give home remedies a shot before going to a doc. yup probably i guess i should see a Naturopath/ Osteopath

you may want to do a quick search on TMJ, temporomandibular joint dysfunction.
