Has anyone tried these, I've heard they are great for juicing. How do they taste? I think they are only available in January and that's it for the year. The produce store down from my house should be getting some this weekend.

orange/grapefruit citrus fruit. If I can get some, I'll let you know how they taste. I'm off to look for some now.

I bought a 1/2 case of honeybells today (44 oranges) juiced 3 of them and got a full 16 ounce glass of juice. It's so good, tart & sweet.

Do they have a thin peel and lots of seeds ? From the picture they look a lot like what we in the pacific northwest call honey tangerines.

They do have a thin peel, but only a few seeds, & they're bigger than a tangerine. Taste kinda like sweet grapefruit/orange juice. Grown in Florida.

With the exception of tangerines, thin peel citrus fruit is grown in Florida and thick peel fruit is grown in California. Same variety in both states. Last I heard no one knows why.

Does a regular citrus juicer work on the thin skin fruit, like tangerines, clementines?
