Words from my daughter

Yesterday was rough and wonderful. Coming back to RFT and trying to get back to raw, I sat crying at my computer. I think I needed it.

My 10 year old daughter Cassidy(the one on the left of my avatar) came up behind me and must have seen the screen.

"Are you going back to being raw, Mommy?"
"I'm going to try, Sweetie, Why?"
"Because you were much happier and healthier then."

You gotta love the honesty of children. :)

Wow it always seems to amaze me how smart kids are, they notice stuff that we don't think they will. I don't have kids but I have been around enough.

That just shows you how much children pay attention to what their parents are doing. My 15 year old daughter has decided to join me with raw foods. She has read the book and also watched the DVD's with great interest.

I am happy for your daughter. It says a lot for your parenting by example. You allowed her to come to the raw lifestyle on her own which makes it HER journey. She isn't just tagging along on yours. Congrats to both of you. Keep up the good work.

Love it! :D My just turned 5 year old came up to me and kissed me on the cheek just now and said "I just love kissing such a beautiful girl like you mom" I remember once apon a time she used to tell me "You are so fat mom, you would be so pretty if you were just skinny mom, but I still love you!" Yes she said that several times! Now that i've gone raw again, dropped more weight and actually can dress a little better and feel like wearing makeup even sometimes.. now i'm so loveable! She keeps telling me how great I look and how she loves my clothes & stuff!

Faith4u---I was raw for a few months back in late spring early summer 07.
Yes it was sweet of her. She is a strong one but sweet too.

AvyB and Starfire---- It is amazing sometimes how strong and supportive
children can be. They will make great RFT members
anyday now lol
RawVeganMom--- It's funny that when your child told you that you were fat
it clearly was not meant as a put-down or criticism just
an observation. So little and yet so able to make us think.

my 9 year old daughter is soooo supportive of me. she isn't interested in eating much of anything (which is her own choice).
