You can actually get raw chocolate chunks now that actually melt from natural zing! (sorry, this isnt an ad for natural zing, but thats the only place i know of that sells them,) and these things were like a life-saver in terms of me staying raw through christmas time driving cross-country. They are chunks of compressed chocolate, low-temperature compressed/melted,; no sweetener or anything, just chocolate and you can stick the things in your dehydrator and they actually MELT! i dunno, maybe you can do this with nibs too???but that hasnt worked in my experience. anyway, chew one of these blocks up with a date or two, and you feel like youre eating an organic, high cacao content chocolate bar. or i also melted some, added peppermint and agave and let chunks of it reharden into chocolate drops,, and also made choc-dipped brazil nuts too. just wanted to share :)

Gee, I don't wanna hear anything about raw cocoa right now. I had some a little too late in the evening and now I'm up with insomnia. The stuff's powerful!
but I'm happy for you!

I have bought some stuf from detox your world that they call chocolate liquor but it came in solid chunks. It is possibly the same. It certainly added a more chocolaty feel and taste to my chocolate ice-cream but the pack was very small.

Interesting, the opposite happens to me. It makes me so tired due to the ultra high magnesium content. There are, however, small amounts of natural stimulants in the cacao. Stimulants are the one thing I'm not very sensitive to though.

hey sport--these run about $18 a pound (plus shipping unless you go to their place in maryland) a little bit pricey as far as food goes, but no more expensive than the nibs or raw beans, and much more enjoyable. maybe ill bring u a sample next summer if ya want some :)
