My daughter was over in the Ukraine and while she was there they had pomegranite salad several times and she wrote home about it. Here's what was in it: lots of pomegranite berries, cut up bananas, coconut, tangarines slices and walnuts. Where she was at, they use sour cream on just about everything, so they put a sweetened sour cream over it but we have just eaten it plain and have also made the cashew cream to put on it and I was just thinking that just a little bit of agave drizzled on top would be quick, simple and good. Oh, they also had small cut up pieces of apple in it. It really is very pretty and good.

Now I just need to get ahold of the cashew cream recipe...is that Alissa's? Can't wait till I can afford to order her book & DVD!

I usually put a couple handfuls of pomegranite on my breakfast salads but have never tried it like you describe. It sounds good though, I'll have to try it. Pomegranite is very high in antioxidants. Thanks for the info.

Yes...it's in her book. Cashew kream is actually in several books and they are basically the same: Cashews, vanilla, water or orange juice, some people will put a little lemon in and then a sweetener like honey or agave. The salad really is good just plain.
