I am 38 married and mother of 2 boys (5 and 4), work part time with lots going on. I have never really heard of the raw food lifestyle until recently and then it seemed to be everywhere around me! I've been doing a lot of reading online about it and have been starting to incorporate more raw foods. I want to do more and thought this would be a great place to start. I worry about being able to integrate it into my families lifestyle and in my social lifestyle. I've been reading threads for several days now and have been afraid to post, (I'm new to this too!) so here I am and here is to eating raw in January and throughout the year! Any help will be appreciated!

Welcome! It's amazing how, when you're ready, suddenly there's information & confirmations everywhere!
Just check out recipes, give your kids options, feed em when they're HUNGRY (not by the the clock only!) so they're more likely to enjoy new flavors & textures...
...don't be afraid to post, about anything! we're here for ya!

Welcome ! Read all you can. I write recipes on 3x5 cards and plan which ones to try. I make notes on how to adjust for next time and also make lots of notes in Alissa's book. Planning was key for me. For kids, always have lots of fruits and cut up veggies around. Try some of the dips , gradually increase and they'll want more. The more they see you eat this healthy way they will follow.Food should be treated as eaten when hungry, I sure wish I had been taught that ! GS are the best, seems like lots of children here enjoy and don't even know all the greens they are slurping down.
See you on the January Challenge!
