I began a fast yesterday, water only and lots of it, at least a gallon a day, that is the secret. Slept good last night. What a relief to my usual brain fogged sleep deprived mind! And the face swelling, that has been a problem for a couple months, has gone down! Broke out in hives last night and they are all gone today.
Last year I fasted on water for about 6 days and then on liquids for about 3 more. This year I plan on fasting 3 days on water. Have to cut it short because I have to be available for my darling, new granddaughter. The third day is generally the most difficult, heart pounding and weakness. So I usually have to stay in bed on and after the third day of a water fast. But then who knows? Perhaps after eating raw foods, it becomes easier (?) I may try juice fasting after the 3 days, though I've never had any success with juice fasting. It tends to make me too weak and shaky. Water has always been easier. I'm a veteran at fasting single day fasts without food or water.
Perhaps I will be strong enough, this year, to go beyond the 3 days on water or go on diluted juices. Time will tell.
